About Our Bowls

All the bowls you see are made from hardwood trees, grown in New England. The logs we use come from trees cleared by tree service companies, or have fallen due to natural causes, for example, storms. In other words, no trees are cut down specifically for the lathe.
Each log is selected specifically for its grain and shape. Based on those characteristics, the bowl takes shape on the lathe more by nature than by design. The final creation may inherit some warping or cracking which is a by-product of the natu rally artistic character of the wooden bowl. The finish selected on each bowl is designed to bring out as much of the grain’s beauty as possible and are food safe, however these wooden bowls are mostly used for decorative purposes.
If you don’t find what you’re looking for I would be happy to take a custom order.
